Meet The REACH Team

Chad R. Harlander - REACH Director

Mr. Harlander has spent the past 20 years working with youth and their families in the area of children's mental health, through residential treatment and home based services as a Family Counselor. He has worked in the school setting as a Coordinator / Director for a total of 10 years with being the Director of the REACH Program in the Hutchinson High School most recently. During his "free time" he coaches football and provides community outreach through "Day to REACH" football camps. He began his commitment to young people while in high school as a peer helper. As a college student- athlete, he volunteered his time as a motivational speaker, something that he continues to enjoy doing today. Chad has devoted his life to working with today's youth and their families.
 
 
 

Carmen Morrow - Chemical Dependency Counselor

Mrs. Morrow has spent the majority of her counseling career working with children. She has degrees in Clinical Psychology, Corrections, and is Certified as a Chemical Dependency Counselor and Trained Medical Assistant. Carmen has worked with children for the past 16 years in a variety of environments; such as residential, hospital, and in the educational systems. She is an active volunteer member of the McLeod County MEADA (Methamphetamine Education & Drug Awareness) and McLeod County ZAP (Zero Adult Provider) Coalition. In her unstructured time, Carmen enjoys the outdoors and attending her children's sporting and musical events.
 
 

Rhoda Hubbard-Anderson - REACH Teacher

Rhoda has a heart for teaching and has worked as a middle school classroom teacher for nearly 20 years, 17 of those in the Hutchinson School District. With a degree in Social Science/Secondary Education and a Masters Degree in Education, Rhoda has educational experience in learning styles, brain research and differentiated instruction. Rhoda is currently on the steering committee for the Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education. Prior to teaching at ISD 423, Rhoda worked with youth as a program counselor in a residential treatment facility and as a Guardian ad Litem for McLeod County. Rhoda is a volunteer for South Fork Film and enjoys participating in community theater, traveling with her family and laughing as much as possible!
 
 

Angela Young - REACH Educational Support

After being home 10 years with her own children Angela Young is honored to be able to continue to use her education and experience in the school environment. Communication and its impact on education and success in life has always been her personal priority. Her position in the REACH team allows her to continue supporting students with their communication skills as the program encourages them to strive for success in school and in their interpersonal relationships.
